Working Outside

Last weekend, Mark and I tore up the weedy mess of our backyard to prepare for planting a real live lawn :)































Mark mostly shovelled the dirt up to loosen it, while I went behind him, raking and sorting the dirt (weeds, rocks: out).

































We also dug a hole, filling it with water 3 times to test our drainage.





















Finally, Mark dug up the old border of the garden (which was a row of mostly buried bricks) to make a trench for the retaining wall he plans to build.
