Refreshing my Japanese
This morning I had some fun practicing some basic Japanese at
http://www.japanese-online.com/
Watashi wa Davis Anne desu. Hajimemashite.
(I am Anne Davis. Nice to meet you.)
Are wa hon de, kore wa zasshi desu.
(That over there is a book, and this is a magazine.)
Good fun :)

Hi Anne,
This is yourself, learning about posting comments.
Hey! So how many languages do you know a bit of, anyway?
French, Spanish, Latin, Japanese and English :)
Wow!
If you were to substitue Japanese for German, I've spent:
.5, 4, 5, 2.5, and 15 years respectively, studying those languages, and my greatest success has been a general comprehension of the last. I'm proud (and jealous) that you're a successful linguaphile!
I think you're also more modest than I.
"Watashi wa davis anne desu" is truthfully about the extent of my Japanese mastery. (Hopefully I'll know much more soon though.)
Did you know that you were my original inspiration to become a languaphile, as you so generously dub me?
That's a nice thing to say! Thanks!
