Summer's Eve 

I wrote this poem in college, while dozing off in a Shakespeare class...

Summer's Eve
Sun drooped low
lazy-eyed.

Breezy whisp about
teasing playful
with Bzzzzz.

After supper nap
rhinds thick and wet
fallen with seed spit,
thick moist grass.

Bumbles play-dance
closing petals.
Sleepy head
breezy sleep
Evening fresh
Sweet summer.

I don't feel so hot today, but I'm blogging in front of the TV all night to kick off my four-day weekend! Yay!

Birthday Dinner

Mark serves up a four course meal: apple chestnut bisque, Harry and David's ultra-ripe pear and Stilton bleucheese spinach salad, pork tenderloin served with new potatoes and carmalized carrots, and Claire's carrot cake. Exquisite.
